01 — Know more

More knowledge on your side of the table.

Your analyst
Imagine having your own market analyst. Someone who knows your commodities, your suppliers and your negotiation dates, and who works for your procurement team alone. That is exactly how we work for you, without you having to hire anyone.
Before every negotiation
Before every negotiation, we prepare you, tailored to your products and suppliers: we show you where the market for your commodity stands, what is really driving your prices, and which arguments you can put to your supplier word for word.
Strategic procurement
For strategic procurement, we show you long-term price trends and the factors behind them. We build and assess price scenarios and identify alternative sourcing regions.

02 — Negotiate smarter

More arguments on the table. And you know which ones count.

We give you more arguments.

For every negotiation, we compile the arguments for your price and rate each one: strong and load-bearing, or open to attack and better kept in reserve. So you know in advance what you can build on.

strong and load-bearingvulnerable · keep in reserve

We check your supplier's arguments.

Send us their reasoning. We rate each argument as confirmed, exaggerated or unjustified and automatically provide counter-arguments. We also show you where they are weak and which points are worth challenging.

Arguments for your meeting

You can put these points to your supplier exactly as written.

  1. According to the market analysis, the premium on Paris milling wheat is driven mainly by geopolitics and financial investors, not by the supply situation. We cannot accept a flour price increase that simply tracks the exchange price.

  2. Regional producer prices for bread wheat are around €40/t below the Euronext quotation. Let's set the flour price based on your actual wheat purchasing costs, not on a speculatively inflated futures market.

  3. This year's harvest has very good baking quality – over 12% protein, hardly any sprouting or mycotoxins. Quality surcharges on the flour are therefore not justified from our point of view.

  4. Despite a somewhat tighter balance, global supply remains sufficient (world wheat ending stocks of 273.3 million t). We see no scarcity premium in the fundamentals.

  5. Because the rally is largely driven by speculation and therefore prone to a setback, we don't want to commit long term at today's high. We propose fixing part of the volume now and keeping the remainder flexible.

03 — Buy better

A 1% better price. In every negotiation.

Margins in the food industry are tight. Every percentage point you gain in price negotiations with your suppliers goes straight to your bottom line. With CHF 10 million in purchasing volume, 1% is CHF 100,000 a year.

Every franc you save stays with you. Just one percent of your purchasing volume covers our subscription many times over.

More accurate yield forecasts create optimization potential for Schweizer Zucker AG. Together with Terensis, we are working on solutions for how digitalization can help here. Using AI models, large volumes of data (e.g. from satellites or weather stations) are to be processed so that they enable more precise planning of the beet harvest and campaign. Specifically, this optimizes transport and processing costs.
Oliver NussliCEO Schweizer Zucker AG
